MES.H2O is a zwitterionic N-substituted amino sulfonic acid Good′s buffer. It has high buffer capacity and its pH range of 5.5.-6.7.
The characteristics of low UV absorptivity, minimal reactivity, stable pH and solubility in water allow MES.H2O Excipient to be used as a Good's buffer.

Applications

MES.H2O is often used as a running buffer for resolving very small proteins.

Used as a running buffer for resolving very small proteins (ex: 13 kDa) on bis-tris gels.

Used as a biological buffer in plant cell cultures.
